cyber-communication

I think I scared you all off.:) Perhaps it was simply all of the grammar and spelling errors of my last posting. Just kidding.

(By the way, Shellie, I was sorry I didn't get the chance to talk to you tonight! How are you?)

I got to thinking about our U-Scan discussion tonight and why I love them the most, and it's not just slowness of the grumpy cashiers. In my hometown, if I have to buy something embarrassing that I would rather not have my family and friends hear about, I use them. It's related to the privacy thing of cyberspace, I think. I'm a social person, but sometimes I would rather not be checked out by my second cousin at Meijer or my sister at Wal*Mart or the many, many friends of my four sisters who work at every store in town and recognize my last name when I sign it. The U-Scan lets me avoid it all, praise the powers that be. I used to drive to the next town!

Has anyone else ever taken solace in the privacy of the net or similar stuff?
